Capable of traversing the Moon surface during missions, the highly trained Cosmonaut regiments are special space equipped troopers that can fly over battlefields and attack airborne & ground enemy units along with an arm mounted laser system.

Currently 2 factions are known to be using Cosmonaut battalions.

  • Forth Reich of Yuri - Working with Yuri's forces, they have been known to be deployed for space exploration but at the same time as security for the expansion of Yuri's influence.
  • Robot Empire - One of many human infantry under contract with Grey Chen's empire along with other types of human battalions on the moon, they are rare but good for all purpose attacks.

"New Russian Space Ace"
- Forth Reich Cosmonaut -

Part of Yuri's Secret Space Program, Cosmonaut units working for the Forth Reich of Yuri are known to be going into dangerous missions where regular human infantry cannot go on due to no oxygen on the surface of the moon, they are also part of a special battalion of infantry selected for missions on the moon allowing them to explore other regions of space and spread Yuri's influence around the solar system and possibly take over the entire galaxy.

They have been known to be training on Earth before being going into space, however during their training they are known to be alert for anything that will come after them ranging from hostile astronauts or possible aliens that could attack on sight, recently they have not been engaging any enemy forces inside their range but they are always on alert to keep their own comrades safe from attacks.

Behind the Scenes

  • Cosmonauts are unique infantry used by the Robot Empire, they act similar to its counterpart from Red Alert 2's Yuvi Revenge being equipped with moon based equipment for life support unlike on Earth.
  • All-thou unique to the Robot Empire despite being human infantry, Cosmonauts can be found on space stations and even on satellites, they are also known to be serving their country on the moon.
  • Whilst being human infantry for the Robot Empire, the Forth Reich of Yuri does have a lineup of their own Cosmonauts to use for exploring space for expansion of Yuri's influence, also during the 2040s both sides have been fighting each-other due to the empire attacking all factions on Earth which also prompted a response from Yuri, leading to the events of the War on the Moon.
