"Bombard and raid!"
- Catapult Operator -
Known to be a mimick of the GLRF Buccaneer Mortar Buggy, the Catapult is speedy but weak armoured. All-thou posing as a great threat to the government forces of South America, they are not regular siege vehicles found on the battlefield between the New Andes Armada and the Martollo Cartel. Replaced by the heavy armoured but very inaccurate Panther Artillery over time, Catapults were fully phased out of action.
Started being in active use in 2018, the Catapult was first acquired by theft of several Buggies from Mustang dealerships across South America and extensive modification for combat; the makeshift Mortar system was built by Martollo members to use as the vehicle's main weapon. No additional armour was installed due to possibilities that it'll become slow due to the additional plates.
Before it was phased out, the vehicle served as fast siege vehicles for Kurtis and his followers. But since its speed was outmatching vehicles such as the Archer Anti-Aircraft Tanks and several helicopters utilised by the government, their protection is the Catapult's weaknesses in battlefield deployment.
Behind the Scenes
- Inspired by the Ratfink Rocket Buggy and the Ruckus Artillery, the Catapult is combined with speed and firepower in a single package.
- This misc vehicle used by the Martollo Cartel is one of many weak vehicles in the mini-faction which will be present in missions set in South America.
